Deposit Operations / Accounting Clerk

1100 S. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL  34236

Position Summary
Responsibilities include performing a variety of clerical and administrative functions within the deposit operations and accounting/finance departments. Specifically, position will perform reconciliations, accounts payable, new account reviews, scanning and indexing.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform daily reconciliations, including but not limited to ATM/STAR, Check Reconciliation System, Application Balancing, Institution Summary and Due From Bank accounts.
  • Pull reports as requested from core processor and forward to management as requested.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations, including but not limited to Teller Cash, Cash Items, eCorp Wire Transfers in Process, ATM Adjustment (Disputed Items), Adjustments in Process, Backup Withholding, Safe Deposit Boxes in Process, Safe Deposit Boxes Non-Post, Due From accounts, prepaids, miscellaneous assets, payable, miscellaneous liabilities, employees debit cards and all other asset and liability accounts, as needed..
  • Perform accounts payable functions.
  • Perform new account paperwork reviews.
  • Perform scanning and indexing, as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties, as requested.
  • Comply with all bank regulatory requirements including but not limited to responsibilities under the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering regulations.  This includes initiating SARs investigations, as needed.

Qualifications
Experience, Competencies and Education

  • Minimum 1 year clerical experience.
  • Previous banking or accounting experience preferred.
  • High school degree or GED equivalent required
