Position Summary
Responsible for mortgage loan production within the bank and loan production through solicitation efforts outside the bank. Refer clientele to appropriate bank lines of business.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Produce mortgage loan originations.  Must have strong knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA guidelines
• Individual is expected to have an active calling program for solicitation purposes and maintain their calling program throughout employment.
• Ensure all current loan documents are in compliance with applicable law.
• Ensure al third party vendor relationships are in compliance with applicable law.
• Monitor reports on all areas of responsibility to assure timeliness of production.
• Coordinate loan structure and approval with Senior Lender for portfolio loans.
• Create, implement, and continually review, a plan that includes strategies designed to support organizational goals.
• Refer opportunities to Gateway Bank’s other lines of businesses.
• Ensure loan documentation meets all regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, RESPA, Reg Z, MDIA, HMDA, etc.
• Fulfill responsibilities under the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering regulations.  This includes identifying customers properly, initiating SARs and utilizing OFAC records accordingly.

• Produce and meet established business development goals while achieving and maintaining regulatory soundness.
• Develop, organize and maintain client account records according to bank policy.
• Meet established loan documentation exception goals.
• Follow bank policy with no exceptions noted in bank audits or exams.

Qualifications
Experience and Education

• An experienced mortgage banker with five plus years’ industry experience.
• An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.

• An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels and possesses excellent communication skills.
• An individual who can exhibit a high degree of self-confidence and empathy.

• A decisive individual who possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and strong work ethic.
• Computer Skills – Excel and Word skills required.  PowerPoint skills preferred.

Education

• Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent preferred.
